This idea of a lifestyle business is something a lot of people don’t fully appreciate, especially the older generation. It often comes with scepticism, an increase of awareness of possible scams and fear of the unknown.

There is also the perception that older adults are less capable of adapting to the latest technology.

Many seniors, my husband included, resist the virtual world. He has found it easier for me to deal with all the administration of the house as more and more services are shifting online.

I can easily understand where he is coming from; it can be overwhelming with all the new technology around us. Smartphones, tablets, laptops, social media, online banking, and a collection of digital devices, we can’t avoid them, but instead of resisting them I decided to take advantage of them to make my life easier.

26th January a Controversial Australia’s National Day

Every year, on the 26 January Australia Day is a national public holiday, where thousands of families and friends gathered to bring the country together. It reflects the nation’s diversity of people in Australia’s history.

Australia’s major cities come together as a nation, and the City of Perth is one of those cities. I am fortunate to live close to the celebration zone at the Sir James Mitchell Park on the beautiful South Perth foreshore.

Families, youth and seniors from a wide range of demographics come from all over the city to the celebration zone to enjoy the free activities, rides, cultural group performances and entertainment for all ages. It is a smoke and alcohol-free with plenty of food to enjoy.

The top regret that most of us have is not having the courage to live the life we are destined to live. Deep inside we know we have a purpose, we know there is something higher than us, but most of us don’t allow ourselves that freedom.

We seem to live the life that we inwardly feel we should live. The calling is there but the idea that we can’t do them or we shouldn’t keep dominating our lives.
