“7 Tips to Help You Make 2019 Your Best Year Ever”

2019 has begun. Is this your year to achieve your life goals? Is this the year you finally commit to doing whatever is necessary to launch the business you have been dreaming about for a long time? Is this the year you are going to live your life to the fullest, no matter what?

Happy New Year! The beginning of the year is the perfect opportunity to we make a list of all our goals and plan to accomplish them. However, according to research by the University of Scranton, 92 per cent of people who set New Year’s goals never actually achieve them.

But this time is different for you and I. We have been working on specific areas to make this new year one of our best years ever. We have been looking at the goals that we set for ourselves as powerful and empowering tasks.

For a year, I have been working on finding effective ways to keep me going and achieve my goals for this year.

In this article, I want to share six tips that have been helping me, including some links of valuable information to encourage you to make 2019 your best year ever.


One of the challenges for me has been to remain focus on the task at hand. As I am in charge of the whole management and household duties, many of the things I need to do come into my mind often. As a result, I could easily get distracted. Doing many things at the same time was adding confusion. 

That was until I received advice from Abraham-Hicks:

“Focus on the most important specifics of what you want in any particular moment. Doing that brings clarity, power, and speed. Identify what it is you most want so that you give it your attention and, therefore, draw power unto that.

Another great way to get focused is by doing Meditation. It wasn’t easy for me to control the direction of my thoughts, but instead of getting discouraged, I gently focus on my breathing and allow my feelings of relaxation. Meditation is allowing the opening of your passageway so that you may blend the Inner You with the conscious physical you.

Meditation purifies and nourishes from within, keeps you calm, increases your attention span and can bring about a real personal transformation.

Working out first thing in the morning promotes mental clarity, improves your attention span, and you will feel invigorated and energised. 

A new study,  from ScienceDaily, has found that aerobic exercise can improve memory function and maintain brain health as we age. It goes on to say by Mr Firth that “When you exercise you produce a chemical called brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), which may help to prevent age-related decline by reducing the deterioration of the brain.”

According to HealthDirect Australia, the amount of each food you need will vary during your life, depending on factors such as how active you are and whether or not you are growing, pregnant, breastfeeding and more.

In their Balanced Diet article, you will find simple guidelines from qualified experts on how easy it is to have a balanced diet, nutritious and healthy food.

For some people switching to healthier food is a bit of a challenge and it often requires changing your mindset to maintain the discipline. However, with the right amount of determination and some basic tips you can slowly develop healthier eating habits.

When was the last time you take time to relax and smell the roses? Just noticing how you are feeling in the moment and paying attention to different parts of your body? These small and simple steps will make a difference.

  • Take slow, deep breaths to bring your body into a state of peace and relaxation
  • Have a warm bath
  • Listen to your favourite music
  • Write positive thoughts in your journal
  • Take breaks every 30 minutes to clear your mind to perform your daily tasks more efficiently
  • Go for a relaxing walk
  • Get a good night sleep each night will make you feel more alert and energetic.


When we want to overcome some challenges, we usually sit down to define the best way to work them out. If you’re going to improve your cash flow in your business, you will set a goal to earn a certain amount a month within six months.

However, when you have several things you want to achieve, how do you go about them? To fulfil your goals in your business, you know you would have to put the work and put aside a certain amount of hours daily, learning the new skills to improve your business, read more books, spending time with family and other personal activities you would like to achieve. Now it becomes a bit overwhelming, would you agree?

To create a clearer vision, write down the most crucial task at the time and make sure you complete it. Or if it is not possible to finish it in a day, ensure you make some progress and write down the momentum you have been creating, this little step will help to feel you are on track.

I have made it a habit of entering, the night before, my tasks in my Productivity Planner. It has no more than three projects and one section for contacting the people I need to reach and my priorities for the day. It has made an enormous difference, and I only focus on no more than three duties at the time.


More often than not, most of us establish a comfortable routine with our family and friends that we forget to engage in activities that challenge our brains.

As people age, they tend to become less active physically and mentally. But by repeatedly engaging in the right activities, anyone can increase memory function and boost creativity.

Some of the activities to keep your mind active are:

  • Reading a book
  • Learning a new skill
  • Playing your favourite sport
  • Playing games that challenge your mind
  • Learning a new language
  • Learning to play an instrument


2019 is your year. Your future is in your hands. Let go of feelings of indecision and fear.

Embrace those challenging moments; they are there to clarify and guide you. Walking through them without resistance will pave your way for a breakthrough.

Take control of your thoughts, create the right mindset. Trust the process and take pleasure from your positive thoughts. Take responsibility for the way your life is going.

Choose what is right for you and go for it. Feel appreciation for what is.

For months I have been following these steps, it has not been an easy journey as it all comes down to have the determination to follow through. Knowing Your Why will make everything more comfortable and will keep you motivated.
